A heritage brand
for contemporary collecting

Born and raised in Valenza, Italy, Icardi began her career designing womenswear in Milan, before moving to London and Paris, where she worked for a number of luxury fashion brands.

Today, she continues to design womenswear while producing jewellery under her own name, building on the family business founded by her late father in the 1960s.

Working with her brother Lorenzo, an experienced gemologist, Icardi honours Valenza's tradition of craft, with its rich history of fine jewellery–making and intimate, family–operated workshops.

Together, they build on existing objects from their father Umberto's archive, and Ilaria's travels throughout her 24 year career, producing a series of deeply personal collections using responsibly–sourced precious metals and stones.

Each piece is designed by Ilaria in London, and handmade–to–order in Italy.

About Ilaria

Born and raised in Valenza, Italy, Icardi began her career designing womenswear in Milan in the 1990s, specialising in materials research for Etro, before developing the first women’s ready–to–wear line for Hugo Boss.

In 2001, Icardi relocated to Paris, working with Tom Ford as Senior Womenswear designer at Yves Saint Laurent, continuing to drive the development of ready–to–wear categories, including knit, leather and denim, under Stefano Pilati after Ford’s departure. Icardi also steered Yves Saint Laurent’s Édition Soirée, working as Design Director for the luxury brand’s VIP collections, producing made–to–measure styles for renowned figures on the red carpet.

After ten years in Paris, Icardi moved to London, instrumental in establishing a new chapter at Céline as Design Director, working closely with Creative Director Phoebe Philo across all categories. There, building and overseeing design teams based between London and Paris, Icardi drove the expansion of the LVMH–owned brand’s ready–to–wear offering, developing and managing the production of twice–yearly runway and pre–collections.

Icardi remains in London, where she has been working as Design Director at Victoria Beckham across all categories since 2013, designing and developing four collections, and building the brand’s visual identity. She continues to specialise in luxury fashion, applying her expertise to fine jewellery with her own brand, building on the family business founded by her late father Umberto in the 1960s.

Launched in 2020, Ilaria Icardi, the brand, draws upon the designer’s 24 years experience in the luxury fashion space, with a finely crafted collection of jewels made using responsibly–sourced precious metals and stones.

Described as ‘a concise and deeply personal offering’ by The New York Times, each piece is designed in London, and handmade–to–order in Italy.
