A heritage brand
for contemporary collecting
Born and raised in Valenza, Italy, Ilaria Icardi began her career in Milan in the 1990s, designing at Etro and Hugo Boss.In 2001, she moved to Paris to join Yves Saint Laurent as Senior Womenswear Designer under Tom Ford, later continuing under Stefano Pilati. There, she shaped the evolution of the house’s ready-to-wear collections - from knitwear and leather to denim and directed Édition Soirée, YSL’s made-to-measure line for the brand’s most celebrated clients. After a decade in Paris, Icardi joined Phoebe Philo at Céline as Design Director. She later brought her expertise to the Victoria Beckham ready to wear line, followed by Bottega Veneta under Matthieu Blazy, before assuming her current role as Womenswear RTW Design Director at Prada.Alongside her work in fashion, Icardi continues her family’s legacy through her fine jewellery label, Ilaria Icardi, founded in 2020. Working closely with her brother Lorenzo, a gemologist, she honours Valenza’s deep-rooted craftsmanship, reimagining pieces from their father Umberto’s archive and her own global journey into intimate, contemporary collections. Each piece is handmade in Italy from responsibly sourced precious metals and stones, a reflection of enduring artistry, personal memory, and refined simplicity. Described by The New York Times as “a concise and deeply personal offering,” Ilaria Icardi represents a dialogue between heritage and modern design.
